Wildfire smoke can make breathing harder, especially for children and people living with asthma or other lung conditions.

Stories like this remind us how important access to support, education, and respiratory equipment can be during smoky seasons. Programs like Alberta Lung’s patient support initiatives help Albertans access tools like AeroChambers and other respiratory supports that can make a real difference in daily life.

Wildfire smoke exposure can worsen asthma symptoms and increase the risk of breathing difficulties, especially for those already living with lung disease.

Raising awareness around RSV helps create healthier and more informed communities year-round, not just during infectious respiratory disease season.

Respiratory Syncytial Virus can lead to serious illness for infants, older adults, and people at higher risk. Through collaboration and education, we can help improve awareness, prevention, and access to trusted information across Canada. Access to immunization coverage for infants is one way to raise awareness.

The RSV Awareness Consortium brings together organizations, healthcare experts, and advocates working toward that shared goal.
