High Strung Studio

Built a new toy for the studio drum kit from items that were broken but had recycling potential.
Here is a shock mount system to mount the kick drum microphone directly in the bass drum.
All on a carefully tentioned bungee system for shock and vibration separation.
Going to test out the beta 52a kick mic on it since it's a heavy mic and it'll put it to the test.
Holds it right in the sweet spot.
Can't wait to try it out 🤘

Some studio renovations before the winter hits. An insulation wall to put in the garage door insert..
It will take, the noise down and help keep the heat in during the winter months.
And of course drive the misses a little less crazy.

Had a fun weekend tracking my friends in The Knot No Howz band.
Recording my favorite stoner punk band on 420 was a perfect way to spend the weekend.
