The Power to Pedal Program aims to grow BMX participation in Alberta by providing accessible, high-quality skill development opportunities that build confidence, improves rider ability, and strengthen the pathway from grassroots participation to long-term sport engagement. This program is led by a team of Alberta’s most respected and in-demand BMX coaches, whose passion, experience, and commitment to athlete development create an exceptional learning environment.
Increased Participation & Accessibility
Reduce barriers to participation by offering a complimentary, welcoming program for riders from all clubs and backgrounds.
Help new riders feel comfortable entering the sport and returning to their local track.
Meaningful Skill Development
Improve core BMX fundamentals such as balance, body position, gate starts, cornering, pumping, jumping, and race awareness.
Provide age- and ability-appropriate coaching for Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, and Expert riders. Give riders practical tools they can continue working on after the camp.
Rider Confidence, Safety & Retention
Build confidence through positive coaching and progressive skill development. Promote safe riding habits and better bike handling.
Increase long-term retention by helping riders feel successful, motivated, and excited to continue in BMX.
Stronger BMX Community & Pathway Development
