Hi! My name is Crystal Cadieux, and I’m the Owner and Operator of Jollipix Photo Booth. Today, November 30, marks 12 years since I ran my first photo booth, which would be the first day Jollipix would be established. Here is the story of how I got started…
Starting this business was just by chance, and the idea to run a photo booth business came to me by my cousin Nicole, while we were taking a pic at a photo booth (at a debut) almost 14 years ago. As I loved photography and taking pics, she said to me that this would be something I could and should do. At that time I wasn’t working as I was a stay-at-home mom, but I wanted to contribute to my family’s finances and do something on the side other than Avon or PartyLite (which I also did back then). So it got me thinking about what I needed to do to get a photo booth business up and running. And let me tell you, it took me nearly a year to get everything I needed to start Jollipix, while raising two little kiddies with my hubby Brad.
Fast forward to 2025 and a lot has changed since then. Photo booths are becoming super popular and more and more photo booths are popping up at different events, which I think is super awesome! Though I have a lot more competition, one thing I know that makes my business stand out from the rest is how much fun I have when I operate my booth. It’s about engaging with guests that step up to take pics and making them do funny and silly poses if they don’t know what to do or how to pose in front of the camera.
Covid did put holt on business, but I’d like to think that God has blessed me with what I have and with what He has given me in relation to the business opportunities I have received since I started.
To all of you — my past clients, referrals, friends, and family — it’s because of you that I’m doing what I enjoy, and that is bringing fun and laughs at your special events through my photo booth business. It brings me so much joy when I see others just having a blast.

Boy George and his crew made an appearance this evening!
It’s hard to believe I’ve been running this side gig of mine for almost 9 years! The pandemic hit my business really hard over the last two years, with me only doing a handful of photo booths. But I’m hoping to get back into it over the next few months and new year!
