There are a variety of benefits that massage can provide an individual!

And while some benefits may take a few treatments to show, there are definitely a few (such as the easing of minor aches & pains, and increased relaxation) that you’ll be able to notice right away!

If you’re looking to have some musculoskeletal issues (sprains, strains, aches & pains) worked on, or you just want to come in and shut your mind off for a little bit, make sure to book yourself in for a massage and help get yourself back to better health!

As it is generally busy, and we’re not always able to answer the phone, DO leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible!

Just a friendly reminder to always give yourself a bit of extra time when arriving to your appointments.
And if you’re running behind, please do not hesitate to call in about it.
The courtesy is always appreciated!
Between the many construction sites throughout the city, various festivals going on in/around downtown, AND this weeks Edmonton and area visit from the Pope, there’s pretty much a guarantee that there will be delays on your commute and/or while finding parking.

Defined by Webster’s dictionary as “a place intended to be free of bias, conflict, criticism, or potentially threatening actions, ideas, or conversations”, having/maintaining a safe and inclusive treatment space is such an integral part of my practice for both myself as the massage therapist, and as well for you, the client coming in for your appointment!

When you come to see me for a massage treatment, I want you to feel as comfortable as possible, knowing you’re in a place where you can be who you are/how you identify, & feel safe enough to be able to relax and put life’s challenges and stresses on hold, even if only for a short bit.

Creating and maintaining a treatment space that feels safe and secure also benefits the massage treatment itself as there is usually less muscle tension to try to work through, and less resistance from you while I am working on you/moving you around on the table. The decrease in muscle tension and resistance means potentially better results with regards to the concerns you’ve come in with that day.

Should you ever feel uncomfortable or unsure of something when you are coming in for/already in your appointment, whether it’s with me or with any other healthcare professional you are seeing, never hesitate to speak up and ask questions. I would rather do my best to give you the answers & ease your concerns, or make adjustments to the treatment itself, in order to keep you relaxed and feeling secure rather than make you feel unsafe and uncomfortable.
