HOW LONG DOES MEAT LAST?
Raw Meat:
Whole chicken: 12 months in the freezer.
Steaks/Roasts: Up to 6 months in the freezer, smaller cuts like chops up to 4 months.
Ground meat: 2-3 months in the freezer.
Poultry pieces (e.g., chicken pieces): 9 months in the freezer.
Cooked Meat:
Most cooked meats (chicken, beef, pork, etc.) can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
Cooked meats can be frozen for varying durations, typically 1-5 months depending on the type and cut (e.g., whole cooked chicken: 2-4 months, cooked ground meat: 2-5 months).
General Storage Tips:
Store raw and cooked meat separately.
Ensure proper packaging and sealing to prevent freezer burn and cross-contamination.
Maintain freezer temperature at 0°F (-18°C) or lower for optimal storage.
