DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
~Responsible for the overall well-being of client network infrastructure
~Improve the operation level of client networks and processes through project scoping and delivery
~Perform proactive maintenance and system enhancements on client networks
~Obtain client approval for projects
~Record 30+ billable hours per week
~Provide both remote and on-site support to clients
~May be required to go on-site with little or no notice during standard work hours
~Maintain accurate documentation of client networks, resolved issues, and client information
~Follow standardized operating procedures as much as possible
~Participate in weekly meetings to ensure the success of the technical team
~Pass at least one certification exam per year

QUALIFICATIONS
~5+ years of experience as an IT networking specialist
~Strong knowledge of all things Cisco, demonstrated by multiple certifications – CCNA+
~Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study from an accredited institution is an asset
~A combination of education, certifications, and experience will be considered
~Other certifications from Microsoft, VMware and other Tier 1 vendors are an asset
~Must have a valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract, and regular access to a reliable vehicle
~A people-person who is comfortable in dealing with a variety of people and difficult situations
~Proven ability to work rapidly in high pressure situations
~Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
~Passion for technology demonstrated by a desire to obtain new technical certifications
~Demonstrates a problem solving ability
~Thrives in a team atmosphere and exhibits a positive attitude
~Self-starter able to work effectively with minimal supervision
