Kaurage Movement

Progress in your fitness journey is about a lot more than the number on the scale.
The scale can be a useful marker, but it is only ONE tool in the toolbox. It shouldn’t be the only measure of success you rely on.
The scale constantly fluctuates depending on a number of different factors. So instead of focusing on a number we can’t control, let’s shift our focus on things we can control like creating healthy habits and routines.
Celebrate your non-scale wins because the scale doesn’t tell the whole story! It’ll never be able to tell you about the way more important indicators of progress like how you feel.
What non-scale win are you most proud of?

“Courage is not the absence of fear, it is the ability to act in the presence of fear.” - Bruce Lee.
Many of us have a fear of putting ourselves in new and uncomfortable situations because of the uncertainty. Our body always wants to play it safe, and our mind eats us up with the “what ifs”. However, stepping outside of our comfort zone results in life’s most rewarding experiences.
Bungee jumping is probably the scariest thing I have ever done. It is also one of the most exhilarating experiences I’ve ever had. As a over-thinker, I could not stand at the top of the bridge and think about what I was about to do. Any hesitation at this moment would’ve resulted in me not doing it. I had to take a leap of faith and jump. It was an “I can’t believe I just did that”moment when I was back at the top. Since this experience, I feel that I am able to make more bold decisions. I challenge myself to do more things where I feel fear because that’s where I get the most growth.
Achieving your goals probably requires taking some sort of risk. Conquer that fear and go after what you want. Regardless of the outcome, the process will result in more growth, resiliency and confidence. Take risks, challenge yourself and watch yourself become stronger and better.

I’m super excited to announce my brand name: Kaurage Movement!
Kaur + Courage
Kaur, meaning warrior princess or lioness is a middle/last name used by many Sikh and Punjabi women. It was given to us by Guru Gobind Singh Ji to represent equality, and to abolish the caste system. People in India commonly experience prejudice based on their caste.
I chose the word movement over fitness, fit, strength or conditioning at the end because I’m a strong believer in movement is medicine. I want to encourage more people to move doing the physical activities they enjoy.
The icon shows my favourite shastar (weapon), a Katar. It’s bold, represents strength, power and speed. The lines and dot represent movement. Together, they can be seen resembling a rocketship - the idea of me helping individuals launch their fitness journey. It also portrays progression and evolution.
Huge thank you to for all the help on this project!
That being said, I am now accepting new in person and online clients. Please get in touch if you are interested!!
