Eastern Slopes Adventure Company

These little ones are tough to spot due to their colour and size. Not much bigger than a sparrow, the Red-eyed Vireo are difficult to find among the green leaves of the deciduous trees. This one seemed curious of me and presented itself for a quick shot.

I watched this young Blue Heron in search of a breakfast meal. Slowly, with a deliberate step and moving closer to it's prey, time was the factor of a good catch. Today's hunt consisted of a few bugs. With a flap of it's wings, it was air born and on to more abundant waters.
