The Board of Trustees has issued the following statement in response to the tragedy in Tumbler Ridge, B.C.: On behalf of Edmonton Public Schools and the Board of Trustees, we send our deepest condolences and support to the Tumbler Ridge students, families, staff and community. We are keeping your community close in our thoughts and hearts as you navigate this unimaginable tragedy.

With a week to go until the election, I’m looking for volunteers to join the team for door-knocking, leaflet drops, and spreading the word about my vision:

• Securing adequate funding
• Ensuring inclusive and equitable high-quality education
• Expanding learning and community spaces

Thank you to the EPSA Network and Edmonton Public Teachers for hosting last night’s Ward G candidate forum.

I had an excellent time connecting with folks and discussing how we must fight for adequate per-student funding, support quality education for all students, and expand our learning and community spaces for our growing community.
