Day 28 of and I'll be honest.. I think this is the first year I've actually been able to grow something decent without giving in and shaving half way through! But this is so much bigger than myself and my lack of upper lip confidence.
As a man who has suffered with severe mental health challenges throughout my life, it's gotten a lot easier to be open and talk about these things with a professional, however there is still a long way to go before the whole "boys can't cry" or "men always have to be strong" stigmas are completely done away with. Until this happens we are going to continue to lose brave men young & old to alcohol, drugs, su***de among many other potential fates.
This cause also brings other mens health hot-button struggles to the light, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer & su***de awareness, because take it from me, it doesn't take long to go from on top of the world to not wanting to be a part of it anymore.
