Let's talk about Socialization!! Socialization comes up a lot and many are unaware of what socialization really is. We hear a lot about dog parks and doggy playdates but socialization is so much more.

Socialization is the process of exposing your puppy/dog to the right experiences so that your dog is comfortable and confident in a variety of everyday settings! The ultimate goal is to have a dog who is stable, not nervous or fearful or insecure when faced with life events!

The outing shared by on Instagram is a perfect example of socialization. Take your dog to sit at the coffee shop, park or in Young Pants' example, the local brewery and have them relax under the table. The hustle and bustle of staff, people having conversations, vehicles passing by...this is great exposure to life and all done safely on leash.
