Welcome to the next Saturday Morning Summer Yoga session in the Mill Creek Healing Park!

Join us for a Saturday morning yoga session with earthcitysoul! Certified yoga instructor, Kaliegh Boyce, will be leading us through a 75 minute outdoor flow class. Connect body to breath as we build strength and somatic awareness, tuning into natures rhythms in the Mill Creek Healing Park. This playful, energizing class is intended to open our hearts and build confidence through connective movement. Bring your mat, water bottle, and some comfortable clothes to stretch and rise with the sun. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or brand new to the practice, all are welcome!

In this past Sunday’s Community Cooks class, we learned how to make Macedonian Kifli and Moroccan Harira! 🇲🇰🇲🇦

Sef Salham (𖤐 Sef) guided us through every step, from kneading and baking the soft and fluffy Kifli, to stewing ingredients for the fragrant and warming Harira. Sef also shared the stories behind these dishes, explaining how feta is never missing from the equation in Macedonian meals (including in the Kifli!). As for the Harira, it makes a nutritious and filling meal to break one’s fast during Ramadan.

Between the 2 dishes, we made over 200 servings!

We are grateful for the incredible team at 4B Harm Reduction Society - YEG who delivered these meals to community members facing food insecurity.

Thank you to Dovercourt Community League for hosting us!

We also had some time to play a game of “guess the origin of the ingredient,” where we learned the geographical origin of common food crops! 🌽🍎🥜
