Lets Celebrate growth, resilience, and empowering each other on National Women's Day.

While this is just one day, doesnt mean that we dont support eachother every other day. This day is a day to really focus in on what we have overcome in the past, and present and what we will overcome in the future.

A little about myself (I am on the Right). My name is Meagan Overduin and I have a diagnosis of bipolar, but it does not define me. I am a Volunteer Firefighter for the Sahtlam Fire Hall, a business owner, and have a full time day job in Insurance.

Bare Essentials is a Canadian Company, that was born out of need to help with mental health, eczema issues, and overall natural skin health. What we do not realize is that what gets absorbed in your skin can be detrimental to your overall mental and physical health.

So to all those women out there, keep doing your best, find growth in yourself, your releationships and dont let other people make you feel anything but wellness and joy.

The picture shown are Me(on the Right), Lona (middle), and Aly (left). These 2 bad asses have helped me grow mentally and overcome some hurdles even though I have not told them this. They show up everyday to life with amazing can do personalities. I am forever grateful.

Endocrine disruptors in skincare are chemicals that can interfere with the body's hormonal system, potentially leading to developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune issues. These substances can mimic or block hormones, disrupting the normal functioning of the endocrine system.

Common endocrine disruptors in skincare include:

Parabens: Preservatives that can mimic estrogen and disrupt hormonal balance.
🍃Alternative: Use products with natural ingredients like vitamin E, grapefruit seed extract, or rosemary extract.

Phthalates: Often found in fragrances, these chemicals are linked to reproductive and developmental problems.
🍃Alternative: Opt for "phthalate-free" products or those scented with essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances.

Triclosan: An antibacterial agent that may interfere with thyroid hormones.
🍃Alternative: Choose antibacterial products with natural alternatives like tea tree oil or neem oil.

Chemical UV filters: Ingredients like oxybenzone and octinoxate in sunscreens can mimic hormones and disrupt endocrine function.
🍃Alternative: Look for sunscreens with mineral-based filters like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Some oils have been studied to have a natural SPF occurrence.

Synthetic fragrances: These can contain undisclosed chemicals, some of which may act as endocrine disruptors.
🍃Alternative: Select "fragrance-free" products or those using natural botanical extracts for scent.

If you're looking to avoid these, consider products labeled as "paraben-free," "phthalate-free," or "fragrance-free," and always check ingredient lists.

Mother Nature provides all that we need, but due to society moving to an over industrialized state this information has become forgotten by many.
