Location
-Work locations are situated in the vicinity of Duncan, British Columbia.

Currently Seeking
-Groundskeeper
(Potential to move up to Maintenance Supervisor)

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities
-Ensure adherence to holistic and sustainable practices.
-Provide landscaping services including turf maintenance, gardening, deadwood management, natural resource management, etc.
-Weeding gardens as needed.
-Ensuring all pots, urns and gardens are watered for healthy growth.
-Prepare, review with Grounds Supervisor and manage groundskeeping budget.
-Maintain and repair irrigation systems.
-Maintain clean grounds, shop and storage at all times.
-All other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager/Grounds Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Groundskeeper - must have:

-The ability to lift 50+lbs.

-Provide own transportation to worksite & maintain a clean driving record.

-The ability to communicate, adapt to change and provide effective solutions to practical issues, while working closely with other team members and contractors, is critical to success in this position.

-Work closely, and as a Team, on many of the grounds tasks as required.

-Horticulture and groundskeeping experience.

-Design experience is considered an asset.

-Prior experience developing budgets.

-Ability to operate a bobcat, tractor, truck trailer, mower and other small equipment;

-Prior experience in landscaping and how to complete landscaping drawings, snow removal, maintaining vehicles and equipment, maintaining and repairing irrigations systems, and how to operate a greenhouse.

-Positive can-do attitude is essential.

-First Aid/Ground Disturbance considered an asset.

$25-30/hr starting wage depending on experience.
40hrs/week

*Must provide a current Criminal Record check.
