Spring into Summer

Hi folks, my name is Rick Foote and I have been nominated for town council in Digby. Some of you may be familiar with me and I hope that is a good thing. My interest in being a councillor is prompted mainly by a wish to see Digby prosper and for the residents to enjoy living here. I’m sure this is not a perfect town, I don’t know if there is such a thing, but I am also sure that there are not many better towns. Most of us, even those of us born here, are here by choice and that says a lot, in this great big world where we could live anywhere, we have chosen Digby.

I have many ideas that I would love to see come through for Digby, some small, some might seem to be a bit ambitious. One thing I am acutely aware of is that the money the town spends is not the town’s money it is the people’s money, which means any projects undertaken not only have to be good for Digby but also have to be affordable by us as residents. We must always be striving to get the best bang for our buck. Although may not be ready for some projects yet, we can look forward to the time we will be and prepare, so when the time is right we are ready to move ahead.

I will try to post some of my ideas on here and look forward to hearing positive thoughts on how we can work together to make a great town even better.
