Meet Cherise – Our Encouraging Barista!

If you’ve been to The Coffee Shop in Devon, chances are you’ve met Cherise-her positive attitude and encouraging spirit brighten everyone’s day!

Cherise loves camping, volleyball, and frisbee golf, and she strives to honour Christ in everything she does. One of her dreams is to travel the world and see all of God’s beautiful creation.

Her go-to orders? A Cinnamon Raisin or Plain Bagel with Sweet Vanilla Cream Cheese, and an Iced White Dirty Hot Chocolate in the summer (switched to hot when it’s chilly out!).

What does she love most about working here? “It’s not static—every day is different, and there’s always something new happening!”

Meet Kyrah – Our Super Barista!
Kyrah is one of those people who can brighten your whole day just by being around. With her amazing attitude and love for people, she helps make The Coffee Shop in Devon feel like home.

Her go-to picks? A refreshing Lemonade with a Blueberry Tea Bag and a Cheddar Chive Bagel with Roasted Garlic Cream Cheese—seriously, you’ve got to try them!

When she’s not behind the counter, you’ll find Kyrah gaming, camping, hitting the water (tubing, kneeboarding—you name it!), or diving into hair, makeup, and even a good board or card game.

What does she love most about working here? “Being able to grow with such a wonderful business, getting to know the regulars, and having such a positive team that bonds outside of work. The good food is also a nice bonus!”

Meet Makaylah – One of Our Incredible Baristas!

Say hello to Makaylah, Beaumont grown, who brings creativity and cheerful energy to every shift behind the bar.

When she’s not crafting the perfect latte, you can find her crocheting, diving into DIY projects, taking her cats for walks (yes, they love it!), heading out for a run, or spending time with her family.

Her go-to menu picks? The Iced Matcha and a Plain Bagel with Sweet Vanilla Cream Cheese—simple, sweet, and totally delicious.

What does she love most about working at The Coffee Shop in Devon? “Everyone is friendly, there are lots of familiar faces, and the community is so welcoming and supportive!”

Meet Rebekah – Our Amazing Baker!
If you’ve ever enjoyed one of our fresh-baked treats, you’ve already tasted Rebekah’s talent!

Born and raised just outside of Devon, she brings a whole lot of heart, and heavenly aromas, to our kitchen. Rebekah will tell you first that she’s saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. That faith inspires everything she does.

When she’s not baking sourdough or cooking from scratch, she’s out gardening, camping, fishing, or joining her husband Ashton on hunting trips. Her dream? To live on an acreage with a big garden, a flock of chickens, and as many kiddos as the Lord blesses them with.

Rebekah’s go-to menu picks are the River Valley Chai and the Chicken Club. And what does she love most about working here? “The team we’ve built and the creative freedom that comes with the job!”

Meet Marissa-
Our Amazing Manager!

If you’ve visited The Coffee Shop in Devon, chances are you’ve seen our manager, Marissa, keeping things running smoothly (and keeping us laughing along the way).

Marissa grew up in Ontario and made Alberta her home back in 2012, first in beautiful Canmore for 11 years, and now here in Devon alongside her boyfriend, Ethan.

When she’s not here with us, you’ll probably find her hiking, camping, diving into a good book, or playing video games. She’s a little bit of a goofball, super creative, and a great communicator—even if she claims she doesn’t like people (trust us, she’s a joy to be around!).

Her go-to favourites on our menu? The nICE Cap and the BLT.

And what does she love most about working here? “The environment. Everyone pitches in and respects each other—it’s a fun place to work!”
