🔥

This last week was a little bit of everything & exactly why I love what I do ❤️

From supporting the Delta Firefighters Healthy Snack Program 🚒, to leading an “Own the Room” session on communication skills that get you heard, to speaking at W North about saying yes before you feel ready and then jumping right into a live on-location broadcast with Stingray Media 🎙️

The little girl who dreamed of all this would be so proud right now.

Have a great week and go crush some of your goals!

Still reflecting on what an incredible afternoon it was at the second annual Power of Women in Philanthropy at the stunning Harris Barn.

A big thank you to Lisa Hoglund for trusting me to help lead this special event , and for the incredible work you continue to do as such a strong pillar in our community.

Sharing the stage with my dear friend Ramneek Dosanjh was a true honour.

And meeting Darcy Hortness was definitely a highlight. Watching the Olympic footage again gave me goosebumps… and yes, getting to hold her silver medal was pretty surreal. 🥈

Congratulations as well to the incredible Cindy Beedie on your well-deserved award and for the tremendous impact you continue to make through philanthropy.

Standing on stage in my own community, surrounded by friends, colleagues, and so many inspiring women, was deeply meaningful.

The sold-out room gathered around this year’s theme of resilience, and the stories shared were powerful reminders that strength often comes from the hardest chapters of our lives. The honesty, vulnerability, and generosity in that room created something truly special.

I’m grateful to have helped guide the afternoon in support of the incredible work of the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation, helping ensure exceptional healthcare for our community.

Events like this are why I love what I do.

When the right stories are shared in the right room, they have the power to move people… and make a real impact.

✨ If you were in the room that day, what moment stayed with you?

Today’s International Women’s Day theme is Give to Gain.

When I started my career I remember sitting in rooms where I felt small. Talked over. Silenced. Questioning if my voice mattered.

Today I stand on stages, host rooms, and sit at boardroom tables owning my voice.

And because I know what it felt like not to have that confidence yet, I make it a priority to give it back.

I mentor emerging leaders and support young women, especially women of colour, with opportunities, guidance, and encouragement I didn’t always have.

I’m grateful for the incredible friends and colleagues in my life who continue to support, challenge, and champion one another.

When we lift others up, we all rise.
