#545 - There were 71 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours.
A 38-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested and charged with possession of a credit card and possession of property obtained by crime following an investigation into a theft from a motor vehicle.

#545 - The Cornwall Police Service can confirm the missing individual referenced in a recent public notification has been located deceased. The next of kin has been notified.
The investigation remains ongoing; however, police do not suspect foul play at this time. No further information will be released.
We extend our deepest condolences to the individual’s family and loved ones during this difficult time and thank members of the public for their assistance.

#545 – The Cornwall Police Service is excited to introduce three more members of our 2026 Youth in Policing Initiative (YIPI) program!
✨ Dexter Perkins
The 16-year-old recently completed Grade 11 at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School. Dexter loves playing basketball and collecting sports cards. He hopes to work as a computer programming technician or pursue a career in policing.
✨ Tuba Haroon
The 17-year-old recently completed Grade 12 at Cornwall Collegiate & Vocational School. Tuba loves taking walks, playing badminton and boxing with family members. She hopes to continue serving her community while pursuing her goal of becoming a travel nurse.
✨ Khadyja Ndjeutcha
The 15-year-old recently completed Grade 10 at St. Lawrence Secondary School. Khadyja's hobbies include crocheting and reading, and her favourite subject is art. She would like to one day become a visual effects artist and work in the film industry.
Throughout the summer, our YIPI ambassadors will participate in hands-on learning experiences that foster leadership, teamwork and community engagement while providing valuable insight into policing and community partnerships. Through the program, they will build new skills, gain meaningful experiences and be empowered to make a positive difference in their communities and beyond.

#545 - Congratulations to the Cornwall Police Service members who recently took part in the annual Ontario Police Fitness Award (OPFA) Pin Program!
The OPFA, developed by the Police Fitness Personnel of Ontario (PFPO), recognizes officers and civilian employees who are committed to maintaining a high level of physical fitness throughout their careers.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in this year's assessment and earned their fitness pins! Your commitment to health, fitness and personal wellness is something to be proud of.
