SalesBytes
The opener is not where most LinkedIn threads die. The first reply is.
Most sellers put all their effort into the opening message. They craft the perfect hook, reference a specific detail, ask a smart question. And it works. The prospect replies. Conversation started.
And then the seller immediately pivots to a pitch. Books a call request. Drops a link. And the conversation dies right there.
The first reply is where trust gets built or broken. If you respond to their reply with another question, with genuine curiosity, with something that shows you actually read what they said, the thread continues. If you respond with a pitch, they learn that the opener was a trick and they disengage.
Treat the first reply like the real beginning of the conversation, not the finish line.
Comment REPLY and I'll show you what good first replies look like.
