Every year, generous people throughout our community call us asking if we can pick the fruit from their trees or harvest vegetables from their gardens to help our seniors program.

The answer is YES… but we need your help.

Community Angels Food and Housing Support Society (known as the TYDEL FOODS Seniors Program) is looking for volunteers who are willing to help harvest fresh fruit and vegetables.

Every apple picked, every tomato gathered, and every basket of fresh produce helps feed local seniors and families struggling with food insecurity.

❤️ Together, we can rescue fresh food, reduce waste and make sure it reaches the tables of those who need it most.

If you have a few hours to volunteer this season, we’d love to hear from you.

I Made It… Today I Turn 60! ❤️

Sixty years.

A lifetime filled with joy, heartbreak, laughter, loss, faith, second chances and countless reminders that life is a precious gift.

Every year my husband asks me, “What do you want for your birthday?”

And every year, my answer is exactly the same.

“I don’t want anything for myself. I want something I can give to the people who have supported this journey.”

This year, that gift is 375 FREE cupcakes! 🧁

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in 60 years, it’s that life isn’t about what we receive, it’s about what we give, the people we love and the lives we touch along the way.

When I look back, I don’t measure my life by possessions or accomplishments. I think about the seniors whose freezers we’ve filled, the families we’ve helped through difficult times, the homeless we’ve shared meals with and the incredible community that has stood beside TYDEL FOODS and COMMUNITY ANGELS through every challenge and every victory.

None of this would have been possible without you.

Whether you’ve shopped with us, volunteered, donated, shared our story, encouraged us, or simply believed in what we’re trying to do… thank you.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude. You have helped turn a dream into something that has touched thousands of lives and for that, I will always be thankful.

So today isn’t just my birthday.

It’s a celebration of all of us.
