Computer survey! Do you know what operating system (OS) version you have on your computer? Windows 10? windows 8? windows 7? windows vista? windows XP? Mac OS? Android OS? What's and OS?

Ok its officially back to school marketing month, judging by the displays near the Walmart checkout stand.
I remember when you did homework by going to a library to look up information in books!!
Kids today have it so easy, they just have to google it from the comfort of their bedroom.
Assuming they have a computer, and they aren't distracted by all the other "more interesting" stuff on the internet.
Chances are they get less homework done unless you install some parental controls on the computer to help keep them focused and free of distractions.

Food for thought, before the next school year begins. If you are not happy with your kids grades last year, maybe its time to try this new approach
Its amazing how much kids are motivated to do better when you hold the power of cutting off their internet access 🙂

Tomorrow is the first day of spring. Computers need spring cleaning too. Clean the hardware with compressed air to clean out the dust bunnies, and cleanup the software by backing up all your important files to an external drive for safe keeping.

Here is a very handy link for you do-it-yourself types who loves to spend alllll night trying to remove computer viruses (i used to be one of those). Conduit and Search protect are very nasty beasts and takes ALOT of work to erradicate them...its almost faster to reinstall windows (or recover from a clean snapshot).
