Kingfish Pumping Inc.
We have heard that we are trending on Facebook a bit, concerning our pumping schedule. Just thought it might not hurt to clear the air a little for everyone.
Currently we are booking septic tanks for regular maintenance in June of this year. The reason that we are not doing them earlier is because our storage capacity is nearly full and we cannot dispose of sewage until that time. We need this storage for holding tanks (who cannot wait, when they are full - they are full) and for emergency pumps for our existing customers on septic tanks.
While I understand that there are many who might want to schedule their pump outs earlier, there is actually no need when doing their regular maintenance. A properly working septic tank will continue working fine till the summer. Ideally the summer time is when you would want to pump your tank (not in the winter for example). We will be able to pump over the course of the summer the same number we would in the past when we were able to pump in April and May and the remainder of the summer season etc. We will just be busier and there may be a little longer between a phone call to us and when we get there (although I believe we will be back to normal fairly quickly after June).
You can still call and set up your appointments for this summer, we will gladly schedule you in.
Obviously we would prefer that we had enough storage and could fit people in now for their regular pump outs. Unfortunately that is not the case. As you can imagine, this isn't easy for us either.
I hope that everyone can understand, and still look forward (believe it or not 😁) to pumping your tank in the summer time.
Thank you for your understanding,
Joe

This year we have been getting a lot of calls about sewer smells inside and outside of the house. We came across this article in a trade magazine which speaks to these odours and thought others may find it interesting (despite the title, it talks about odours generally later in the article):

A friendly heads-up to those calling us on Friday, October 20th (2023).
We are changing our phone provider today, and do not have control on the exact timing. It is possible that when you call our phone lines are temporarily down. It is also possible that if you leave us a voicemail we may not be able to access it once the switch occurs.
Please if you leave us a voicemail on this date and we do not respond within an hour, we kindly ask you to call again, it means that we did not receive it. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and do look forward to talking to you.
Thanks!
Your Kingfish team

Just a quick heads up.
With the weather forecast for Friday looking to create very bad road conditions - we will be keeping our drivers home for their safety. For those on holding tanks needing to be pumped prior to the weekend, please call Thursday morning and we will do our best to fit you in the same day.
Thank you for your understanding!
