March 8 is International Women’s Day.

We join with the over 46,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide in celebrating those committed to advancing the well-being of women. When women have access to health care, education, economic opportunities, housing, personal freedom, and safety, communities thrive.

Rotary members are engaged in innovative service projects worldwide that promote women’s well-being, including training midwives, providing micro loans to women, raising awareness about domestic violence and providing support to those who have experienced it.

Locally, our Rotary Club supports women and children through annual donations to Lanark County Interval House and through support for Lanark County Food Bank-The Hunger Stop.
