For Marilyn Kinsella, painting has never just been a hobby. It’s been a way of seeing the world.
In this beautiful conversation, Marilyn shares her journey as an artist, from learning to paint oils at just 13 years old beside a quiet riverside painter, to building a life in Canmore, selling hundreds of mountain paintings, teaching others to truly “see,” and continuing to create today here at Origin.
She speaks honestly about moving into Origin after the loss of her husband, finding comfort and security in community, and rediscovering her creative rhythm through a dedicated painting space that feels, in her words, “kind of like going out to work.”
