Graceful Refinement
I’ve shared before that some of the most difficult seasons of my life have taken a toll on my nervous system. This affected me more deeply than I realized, and I noticed it showing up in my body, including my hair.
Stress and trauma can impact the hair growth cycle, and I experienced that firsthand.
Over time, I’ve learned that supporting my nervous system has become an important part of supporting my overall health and hair.
One of the biggest things that has helped me has been the gym.
Movement has become so much more than exercise for me. It’s been a space to process, regulate, clear my mind, and take care of myself mentally and emotionally. It has truly been one of the biggest drivers in helping me feel like myself again.
A few other things that have made a tremendous difference:
• Strength training and regular movement 🏋🏻♀️
• Morning sunlight and getting outside ☀️
• Working with my holistic nutritionist to support my body 🥗
• Journaling and creating space to slow down ✍🏻
These practices have become part of my daily routine because healthy hair starts with supporting the whole person.
