A Predator's Gaze
This Coyote popped up between the hay bales on a morning drive East of Calgary, It's eyes lighting up perfectly in the morning light.
It held the stare for a second before slinking over the back and into the field. A moment that I will not forget any time soon.

My first SHORT Tailed Weasel.
Out of the corner of my eye I caught some movement on top of a fallen tree trunk, It was small and white, as I turned I saw a tiny Weasel dragging a mouse (nearly the same size as it) up and into a gap in the bark of another tree.
As I set up my tripod the weasel was very curious about me even though I sat quietly on the opposite bank across a small stream just off the bike path. It popped in and out of this tree trunk for 5 minutes before returning into the tree to eat its catch.
I was shocked at the quality of this picture after cropping it, you can even see the blood on the bark from where it dragged the mouse back.
