When it comes to excellence in education in Canada, SAIT is at the top of the charts. 🏆

QS University Rankings and CEOWORLD Magazine have awarded SAIT’s School of Hospitality and Tourism best in the sector in 2026, while our School of Business was recognized as second in Canada on CEOWORLD’s list of Best Business Schools in the World for 2026.

“These rankings reflect SAIT’s ethos of education, which has been built over more than a century,” says James Overall, Dean, SAIT’s School of Hospitality and Tourism and School of Business. “We embrace learning in a deeply applied way to add value for both industry and our students in everything we do.”

What an opportunity! 🙌

SAIT Petroleum Engineering Technology students recently put their skills to the test on an international stage at the 2026 PetroBowl Championship and delivered.

PetroBowl is a fast-paced trivia competition organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) that pits student chapter teams against each other.

Competing against top universities from across North America, Team SAIT finished first in their group and advanced to the quarterfinals, tying fifth overall.

Even more impressive? SAIT was the only polytechnic and two-year program represented in the competition.

Experiences like this don’t just build knowledge — they build confidence and connections.

Check out the highlights!

Campus looks different today. ❤️

Red dresses displayed in our spaces honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S+) as we commemorate Red Dress Day.

SAIT Natoysopoyiis, the Indigenous student resource centre, hosted a special beading workshop where participants created their own red dress pins.

On this national day of awareness, we pause to recognize the ongoing injustice, remember those lost and advocate for change.

Students go with the flow in the MacPhail School of Energy Flow Lab. 💧

SAIT’s instrumentation programs prepare students to measure and interpret process variables in fluid systems, including level, pressure, temperature, flow, and analysis of composition and quality. These measurements form the foundation of accurate process control in today’s industries.

Here's what happens in the Flow Lab:

📏 Students use special devices to measure flow — the movement of liquids or gases in response to applied force or pressure differences.

🛢️ The lab models measuring processes that take place in the oil and gas industry, both upstream and downstream.

🧪 Students use the captured data to adjust pumps, valves and direction of flow as needed for production optimization and resource management.

🤔 But what if you can’t trust your measuring device? Part of the students’ training includes simulating scenarios when flow measuring devices become more or less accurate and reliable.

“I take pride in contributing to a space that positively impacts students, staff and visitors every day.”

A big thank you to the 40+ student and employee volunteers at SAIT who braved the wind and chilly temperatures last week for our Earth Month Campus Clean-Up. 👏

Led by the Office of Sustainability, volunteers collected 179 lbs of waste in about two hours. 🚮
