When a website has the right content but the wrong structure, the people who need it most end up leaving before they ever feel like they've found what they were looking for.
That was the starting point of this rebuild for Play & Family Therapist🎨 A therapist with years of experience, genuine warmth, and a deeply thoughtful approach to her work. The goal was simple: make sure the website reflected all of that within the first few seconds of landing on it.
Swipe to see the before and after, and what changed between them.
If your website has everything it needs but isn't doing its job, that's exactly what a Website Assessment is for.

Most people assume their website isn't converting because something is missing. More information, more pages, more detail about their process or credentials.
But the problem usually isn't what's on the website. It's the order it shows up in.
First-time visitors aren't ready to read about your services or compare your credentials. They're trying to answer something much more basic first: am I in the right place, is this for someone like me, and can I trust this person. Until those questions are answered, nothing else on your site matters.
The websites that convert aren't necessarily the most detailed ones. They're the ones that answer the right questions at the right time.

I'm a firm believer that every website should feel like an extension of the person behind it.
I'm currently rebuilding the online home for Sarah at Expressive Child & Family Therapies, with a focus on clarity, warmth, and creating a space that feels just as welcoming online as it does in person.
Looking forward to sharing the finished website soon!❤️

Just launched: The Iron Mind Project 💻
When Nic reached out, the goal wasn't just to build another counselling website. It was to create something that felt different.
The men's mental health space is growing, but many therapy websites still feel very similar. We wanted to create a brand and website that felt grounded, approachable, and practical. Something that would resonate with men who may be hesitant about reaching out for support.
From the messaging and page structure to the visual direction and overall user experience, every decision was made with one question in mind:
How do we make taking that first step feel a little easier?
I'm incredibly proud of how this project came together, and grateful to Nic for trusting me with bringing his vision to life.
Congratulations on the launch, Nic! 👏

When someone lands on your website, they're forming an opinion long before they consciously know why.
They don't usually think:
❌ "This website lacks visual hierarchy."
They think:
💭 "This feels a bit overwhelming."
They don't think:
❌ "This messaging is too broad."
They think:
💭 "I'm not sure this is for me."
That's what makes websites so interesting.
Most of the things that influence trust aren't the obvious ones like broken links or blurry images. They're the subtle decisions that shape how someone experiences your business without them even realizing it.
After reviewing hundreds of business websites, these are some of the patterns I see come up again and again.
If you've ever wondered why your website isn't generating as many inquiries as you'd expect, it might not be because your business isn't good enough.
It might just be creating the wrong feeling.
👇 If you're curious what your website is communicating from a first-time visitor's perspective, send me your homepage. I'll reply with one insight that could make a bigger difference than you realize.

Now Live: Four Wheel Drive Association of BC!
Over the past few months, I've had the opportunity to work with the 4WDABC on a full website rebuild and theme migration.
With years of valuable content, resources, programs, events, advocacy initiatives, and member information spread throughout the site, the goal wasn't to reinvent what made the organization successful. It was to create a stronger structure around it.
The new website makes it easier for visitors and members to explore programs and stewardship initiatives, access educational resources, support the cause, and stay informed about the work being done within the association.
A big thank you to the 4WDABC team for trusting me with this project. It was very rewarding to help create a website that better supports the work they're already doing in the real world!

The new 4WDABC website is now live! 🎉
This project was so much more than a visual refresh. It was a complete restructuring of a large, content-heavy website to create a clearer, more intuitive experience for both members and the public. From simplifying navigation to improving access to important programs and resources, every decision was made with usability and long-term sustainability in mind.
Thank you to Matt, Beth, and the entire 4WDABC team for being such wonderful collaborators throughout this project! I loved getting to learn more about the work you do to support responsible recreation and protect access across British Columbia.
Go check out the new site and show them some love! 🚙🌲

This project wasn't about reinventing the wheel.
Sky Mystery Astrology had been serving clients for years, and the website reflected that. Over time, pages had been added, offerings had evolved, and content had accumulated. The challenge wasn't a lack of expertise. It was helping visitors navigate everything in a way that felt intuitive and aligned with the experience Laurie provides in real life.
The goal was to preserve the depth and personality behind the business while creating a website that was easier to explore, easier to maintain, and better equipped to support where the business is today.
✨ Strategic restructuring
✨ Improved navigation and user experience
✨ Refined messaging and calls-to-action
✨ More cohesive visuals
✨ A website designed to grow alongside the business
The best rebuilds aren't about becoming something different. They're about making sure your website supports the business you've worked so hard to build.
Thank you, Laurie, for trusting me with this next chapter of Sky Mystery Astrology. ❤️
