✈️ Full‑circle moment ✈️
Many years ago, flying was part of what inspired me to head to for my flight training in Ontario. Today, I walked through the WestJet campus, seeing the aircraft, the culture, and learning from some incredible leaders (plus a few familiar faces from other chapters of life).
One piece of advice really stuck with me today It’s something another captain shared with me months ago too and it’s true. (and life) isn’t always a straight shot.
Licensed in 2007, built my education, and found my way back to aviation.
Grateful for the journey. ✈️

Of course I wouldn’t be an aviator at heart if I didn’t go find airplanes and aviation things when I arrive at a new airport…

✈️ Big news for Canadian aviation training!

WestJetWestJet and CAE have partnered on a 15-year agreement to build the Alberta Training Centre of Excellence for Aviation and Aerospace in Calgary. Slated to open in 2028, this state-of-the-art facility will feature simulators, cabin trainers, and advanced learning tools — in partnership with Mount Royal University.

This is a major investment that positions as a national aviation training hub and creates new opportunities for the next generation of aviation professionals.

As CreeAero, I see this as more than just infrastructure. It’s a chance to ensure First Nations youth and underrepresented communities are part of the journey. The future of aviation must include pathways for all communities to take flight.

The sky isn’t the limit — it’s only the beginning. 🚀
