Each month the Loft aims to host public, collaborative and group-specific programs and projects from poetry and prose readings, youth activities, cocktail parties, film screenings, seminars, lectures, dinners, workshops, art exhibits, and musical performances. Writers and artists can work, write, teach and collaborate in the "hive" space-- an open, dynamic, multipurpose room with a kitchen, moveable furniture and space for conversation. The Loft aims to eventually have a strong virtual presence, an archived library and materials and equipment for creating small publication projects.
