Finding stable housing is only part of the journey. Keeping it is just as important. 💛
Our HomeLinks program helps families experiencing housing instability build the tools, confidence, and community connections needed to stay successfully housed and move toward self-sufficiency.
Families connected to HomeLinks can receive:
✨ Housing search and landlord support
✨ Rental subsidies and financial assistance
✨ Parenting guidance and life skills support
✨ Mental health and community referrals
✨ Ongoing case management and goal setting
And most importantly — families can receive up to two years of support while working toward long-term stability.
Last year, 89% of families supported through HomeLinks sustained stable housing.

🏠 Connections to HomeLinks are made through the Calgary Homeless Foundation’s Coordinated Access and Assessment (CAA) system.

We are so grateful for the passion, leadership, and compassion shown by the University of Calgary’s Children’s Cottage Club 💛
This incredible student-led club supports the vision that resilient children blossom into healthy families, helping create meaningful impact through volunteering, donation drives, and creative community initiatives.
🗨 In the words of student Eugena:
"Children's Cottage UCalgary was founded to support Children's Cottage Society's mission that resilient children blossom in healthy families. From volunteering directly with programs to organizing donation drives and creative service events, our goal is to make sure families feel supported in tangible, real ways.
Many of our members have fond memories of connecting with children at the Cottage, such as being gifted drawings, helping a child count, holding a newborn baby for the first time, playing games on the playground, or seeing a face light up after making their own slushie.
As part of the University of Calgary community, we’re proud to help create an environment where leadership and compassion go hand in hand. Our club is built on teamwork and the belief that small, consistent actions can create lasting change."
Thank you to all the students involved for sharing your time, energy, and heart with the children and families we serve. Your kindness and commitment are helping create lasting impact in our community ✨

Today we’re celebrating the super-pollinators that keep our gardens blooming, our food growing, and our ecosystems thriving! 🐝✨
Did you know?
🐝 Calgary is home to over 180 species of wild bees!
🐝 Bees help pollinate around one-third of the food we eat.
🐝 Many of our favourite fruits, veggies, and flowers depend on these tiny heroes.
Bees may be small, but their impact is huge!
To protect bees and their habitat, the City of Calgary recommends:
• Adding bee-friendly plants to your garden;
• Leaving hollow stems and leaf litter in your yard over the winter;
• Installing a mason bee house.
Let’s give a little love to these little pollinators that help our world grow!
