Stepping into Week 4️⃣ of our June Step Challenge! Sharing some of our trainers favorite ways to get their steps in:
Kaley ➡️ walking with her sweet pup Winston, or hitting the golf course
Mark ➡️ walking around our fantastic neighborhood
Alanna ➡️ sneaking in steps between clients in or enjoying nature in Griffith Woods Park
Chantal ➡️ chasing after her girls while they cycle or walking around the Zoo
Helena ➡️ running to get those steps in, as the weather hasn’t been in her favour to hike
Are you upping your steps for week 4? Let us know how in the comments below 👇
💪🏻Movement gets you moving. Strength keeps you moving.
“I walk every day. Isn’t that enough?”
First off, if you’re walking regularly—keep going! Walking is one of the best things you can do for your physical and mental health. It improves cardiovascular fitness, helps manage stress, boosts energy, and gets us moving more throughout the day. That’s exactly why our June Step Challenge is focused on one thing: encouraging more daily movement.
But walking and strength training aren’t interchangeable.
While daily movement is essential, strength training provides a unique stimulus that helps maintain muscle mass, bone density, balance, and strength as we age. It also supports heart health by improving blood pressure, blood sugar regulation, and overall metabolic health.
The truth is, your body benefits from both.
🚶 Move often.
💪🏻 Strength train consistently.
It’s not about choosing between daily walks and strength training—it’s about combining them to build a body that’s healthy, capable, and resilient for years to come!
