The Community Music Initiative CMI

Jared Engelmann is an old friend from the Beer Core days. Many of us know him as one of the members of the riotous Back Alley Boozers, a group that were a big part of what we did. I remember going on tour with Oh S**t, the Boozers, Bloated Pig, Mr Plow, and my old band, Bitch Kryptonite. We all played a pile of shows together, and Jared was close with Skid Row Scotty. With the news of Scotty's passing, he reached out to ask if he could take the stage for a bit during the memorial show, and we couldn't be happier. Jared's style is different these days, but his music is and always was genuine and from the heart, and he'll be the perfect way to start the show.

Thinking about that tour, I'm just flooded with amazing memories of Scotty, but they're all intermingled with all of the rest of us. He was an amazing person, but he was also one of us, another messed up kid trying to figure his s**t out and having a few laughs along the way. We miss him every day.

This show is just around the corner, this Saturday, and we really hope that you can make it to the show with us as we hug and remember the legendary Skid Row Scotty.

Bottom Feeder - Calgary, AB kick ass. Their particular brand of chaotic hardcore hits me in all the exact places to make me want to rush into the pit and unload. And, at the risk of sounding like the old man I actually am, I love that their music has all the bite and p**s of hardcore with a lot of the dynamics and phrasing and intricacy that aren't typical of the hardcore and punk rock worlds, things I often have been known to shake my fist at a cloud over. There is musicality here, wrapped in the power and emotional content, and it's genuinely fantastic stuff to experience.

See? This whole night of music just keeps on getting radder and radder, and you really need to come down and hang out with us. It's great to have our pals The Golers back in town, and we're gonna celebrate the best way we know how, with loud music and good times! We'll see you in the pit!
