New Merch. Old Story. In 2015 formed a short lived record label called Madic Records. It was a subsidiary of & I was the flagship artist. The album was called ‘All My Favorite Singers Are Willie Nelson’. Recently those kind folks let me regain ownership of that record, and gave me the final 20 copies. Those arrived in the mail two days ago. Today I uploaded the digital tracks into Bandcamp, and hit up the fine folks at to make some tees. So we are technically celebrating the 11 year anniversary of this, my first Astral Swans record 🥳. This record was primarily recorded in my living room. The takes are all live guitar and voice. No overdubs on that front, so I’m actually playing and singing the songs live, start to finish. My friend recorded it and we worked backwards, adding drums & overdubs after. The result is a very raw outsider folk record. I am still very proud of this record, and grateful for Mangan & the Arts&Crafts folks for giving me a really cool experience.
