500km is a long way and with all the elevation gain it feel even further. That is why we started the 500km club, an award to those who have ran an accumulated distance of 500km.
There have been 2 people so far who have earned the hoodie. They are from Edmonton and from Calgary. Who will be next to have their name added to the club?

The sun just set as the runners are out on their 13th yard. Now comes the tough part of the temps dropping, the dark and with each lap fewer people to keep you company.

Who loves COOKIES!!!
The MoMoRoGo cookies have been picked up and are ready to be eaten on Saturday. So if you like running and love cookies come out on Saturday.

Training Tip Tuesday
Run your easy runs easy! Too many people end up running their easy runs too hard. This run should feel really easy and slow, the kind of run you can easily chat with a friend.
Easy runs help build the aerobic system, which we all need for ultras and trail runs, while providing the opportunity to recovery from the hard runs. The recovery helps reduce the training load and allows the body to adapt to the stimulus of the main workouts( long runs, speed work, hill workouts, etc)
A great place to add this run is after a main workout. So if you do a hill workout on Tuesday, run easy on Wednesday, then another quality workout on Thursday. After an easy run on Friday you are ready for a good long run on Saturday.
So remember it is almost impossible to run your easy run too easy but you can run it too hard without much trouble.
