CBA Raised: Ashley Truesdale is a 7 year CBA player who played for Webber Academy in high school.  She is now playing for Western University in London, Ontario.  Ashley is studying medical sciences.⁣

CBA Raised: Katie Crombeen is a 6 year CBA player who played for the Western Canada Redhawks in high school.  She is now playing for Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Katie is taking a Bachelor of Management and planning to major in human resources.⁣

We are excited and proud to announce that CBA Boys’ Coach is the 2021/22 winner of The Wayne Embry Fellowship with the !

Congratulations ! Your CBA family is super proud of you!

The provides one Canadian with the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in a professional basketball environment.

The fellowship consists of rotations to provide growth of knowledge and experience in all facets of an NBA basketball team. These include: coaching, scouting, team services, player development, medical, financial, equipment, travel and G-League with . Each rotation will include a mentor and specific responsibilities in order to learn the role that each department plays within an NBA organization. Fellows also have the opportunity to gain event operations experience at NBA Summer League and Basketball without Borders world camp held during NBA All-Star weekend.

A little bit about Wayne Embry:

- Senior Basketball Advisor with the since 2004
- 1st African American GM & President of an NBA club with the in 1972
- 11-year career as a player in the NBA, including 1 as an NBA champion, and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer.
