Today's food for thought is "Destiny". As someone who grew up in the church, it is often debated amongst people of all faith if there is anything like destiny and what it meant to them. The book of John told us that our lives has been predestined. Meaning, there is someone or some sought of forces or the powers that be in charge of that part of our lives that we have no control over. Even the Oxford advance learner's dictionary of current English defined destiny as; "what happens to somebody or what will happen to them in the future, especially things that they cannot change or avoid." If we cannot control or change our destiny, then why are we so concerned about it, why is it even relevant to us. One of my favourite people once said that; "It is a mistake to try to look too far ahead. The chain of destiny can only be grasped one link at a time" (Winston Churchill). I believe Every man has his own destiny: the only imperative is to follow it, to accept it, no matter where it leads him.
