Once a year, five teams across all three provinces compete in our ALL STARS Simulation Competition while working alongside our first responder allies to showcase their expertise in a high-stress scenario.
This year, four patients required urgent care after an oil and gas incident led to an industrial explosion. With help from our generous hosts and partners, Capital Power, our crew navigated the challenging critical care scenarios with precision and expertise. On Saturday, we were thrilled to attend the Spruce Meadows ‘National’ Tournament and Annual First Responder Weekend in Calgary. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community, engage with our first responder partners who help save lives, and recognize those who make who make it possible for us to provide critical care, anywhere.
Thanks to the generosity and longstanding support of donors like Cenovus, we are able to participate in meaningful community events like this. Since 2006, their continued commitment has helped ensure that thousands of patients across the Prairies receive the critical care they need most. STARS was grateful for the opportunity to be part of this important community event and to share more about the impact we make together.
