Ending a golden era, Calgary’s Golden Inn closes after 45 years - Calgary | Globalnews.ca After opening its doors in 1977, Golden Inn Chinese Restaurant has announced it will be shutting down for good at the end of the month.

To our wonderful and loyal customers: After 45 incredible years of serving you authentic Chinese cuisine made with passion and love, we have come to the difficult decision to close our doors. Our last day of operations will be Saturday, August 27, 2022.

We are so grateful for all of your support over the years and we will miss you - many of you have become like family to us.

Golden Inn has been run by the same owners in the same location since opening our doors in 1977, and we take great pride in having become a Calgary Chinatown establishment. We hope to see many of you one last time.

For the remainder of this month, Golden Inn will be open Sunday through Thursday from 4PM to Midnight (closed on Tuesdays), and Friday and Saturday from 4PM to 4AM.
