While we have been so lucky with this beautiful winter weather (so far) I believe that this quote is an eloquent reminder to keep perspective in your mind during this time of year. It is easy to get caught up in the commercial side of Christmas; however, I believe it's important to take a step back and admire the beauty in the small things. It’s important to truly appreciate what you have, rather than yearning for something else. Live presently, pun intended 😉

While we all love splurging a little more than we should over the holidays, it is important to remember that there are so many people who are unable to afford the expectations that the holidays promote.
This year I challenge you to give back in whatever way best fills your cup. Whether that is donating your time at a local shelter, donating warm clothes, or donating goods to the local food bank. Every little bit matters and it truly does add up. If you have kiddos, the holiday season is a wonderful time to begin teaching them the importance of giving back to the less fortunate. Kindness is truly the best gift of all. 🙏🏼
