We're thrilled to announce our 2nd Annual Halloween Costume Drive.
Following the success of last year, where we donated over 100 costumes to the CUPS Child Development Centre, this year we are looking forward to supporting the children at the The Brenda Strafford Foundation Heart Home Network. The rising cost of living is being felt by many across the country and our food banks are experiencing record high demands. The people in our community facing unfortunate circumstances need our help now more than ever.
This challenge we're facing as a city sparked our inaugural Gift of Christmas Dinner initiative. Our goal was simple: to make Christmas dinner special for as many families as possible.
This year we managed to put together 85 turkey dinners with all of the fixings, plus a Monopoly game for every single family. We hope to help create good memories at a time when they may be sparse.
The 85 dinners went to Made by Momma and the Ukrainians Of Calgary Association, both of whom are vital organizations doing incredible work in our communities.
This initiative would not have been possible without the generous support from our team members, colleagues and partners. We owe a huge thank you to: Beltline Canada Safeway, Hasbro, Wilson M Beck - Alberta, Martello Group, connectFirst Credit Union, Colliers, Urban Law Group, HTC Services Ltd., Parker PR., and many more individuals.
The Gift of Christmas Dinner will be an annual occurrence, and we aim to continue to grow the amount of families each year.
