On Thursday, July 9, 2026, our officers screened 90 drivers during a checkstop on 10 Street N.W.
As a result:
❌ Two drivers received Immediate Roadside Sanctions (IRS), resulting in their vehicles being seized and their licences being suspended.
⚠️ July is Impaired Driving Awareness Month. If you have been drinking or consuming drugs, don't get behind the wheel. Choosing to drive sober, or helping someone else make that choice, can mean the difference between someone coming home safely or not at all.
