When I was growing up and I would spend a big part of my summers on a property outside the city or with my mom in Ontario, I’d get homesick for my Grammy. When I was 9, it was so bad that I’d cry myself sick every night and often have to stay on the phone with her until I was able to fall asleep. One night she told me to look at the moon and that no matter where I was, we were always looking at the same one. It brought me comfort and helped me feel closer to her even if there were thousands of miles between us. Especially now, when everybody is a little spread out and can’t be together, we’re always more connected than we realize 💗🌙
