Aerial photography has been around for years but with the advent of small UAV, (unmanned air vehicles) becoming more accessible to the public, they often get a bad wrap and rightly so for infringing on people's privacy. I am a licensed UAV pilot and have been flying UAV's commercially and recreationally since 2014. The laws are now very strict on where and how you can fly your UAV, in addition, licensing, insurance, registration with Transport Canada is required.

If you need aerial video or photography done, consider contacting a professional. They have to go through the proper training, exams and the cost of insuring their business that exceeds the cost of insuring your vehicle you drive to work everyday.

UAV's are great fun when flown safely, be aware of the rules if you fly recreationally and enjoy them in the manner they were built for.

The Great Horned Owl is one of my favorite owls. They are ferocious hunters and their young are very curious. Fortunate to have captured this young family of two with mom near by. It looks as though she had a busy night hunting as the last photo of her was one of exhaustion. I watched her for about 10 min and she didn't move from this position. I am sure a lot of moms feel this way!
