Are There Different Types of Asbestos? - Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral fibre with two distinct groups. The first, Serpentine (wavy and flexible), is the most common and includes only one type: chrysotile, also known as white asbestos, which was widely used in various products.

The second group, Amphibole (straight and rod-shaped), consists of several types of asbestos, with the most common being amosite (brown) and crocidolite (blue), though other types have been found in products at lower percentages. https://aseservices.com/asbestos-testing-removal/
