Our Community Remembers

Carol Gorsline (McMullen)
December 25, 1936 – January 10, 2026

Carol was deeply devoted to her family and the equestrian community.

Her business life reflected her independence, integrity, and lifelong commitment to doing things the right way. For more than five decades she was a trusted coach, mentor, and steady presence to countless riders. Carol offered her leadership and guidance to our sport in Alberta, with the River Valley Horse Show and serving on the board of Edmonton Hunter-Jumper association.

Carol’s generosity of spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering belief in people will be remembered always. She touched many lives and will be forever missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held
Saturday, March 14th at 10:00am
Glenwood Funeral Home, Sherwood Park

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory may be made to the SPCA.

Another memorable year of sport is behind us and we thank all members who took the initiative to submit their 2025 Bursary Program Application Forms. Your Cheques will be sent within Q1 2026!

Annually, thanks to our fantastic partners at Carrera Horses, Jump Alberta is given the opportunity to support our members with financial aid towards Equine related Education and In-Province Travel.

Atheletes, Officials and Support Staff with JA Memberships - be sure to collect your receipts and submit your paperwork ahead of December 31st 2026 to take advantage of this fantastic program!
