Spring is shaping up to be a season of opportunity in Calgary’s housing market 🌷🏡
According to the latest update from Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB®), February showed a clear split by property type and that’s great news for move-up buyers and detached home sellers alike.
Detached and semi-detached homes remain in some of the tightest conditions in the city, with under three months of supply. That means well-priced detached homes, especially under 700k, are still in demand. The benchmark price for a detached home reached $734,300 in February, up over January, showing early signs of the typical spring momentum.
Meanwhile, rowhomes and apartments are seeing more supply and softer pricing. Citywide conditions remain balanced, and seasonal price gains are already starting to show in lower-density homes.
