They say it takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a *network* to build a future! 🌟

When we talk about the future for our loved ones with disabilities, the best foundation isn’t just money or logistics—it’s people. By creating a personal network, we are surrounding our loved ones with friends, mentors, and community members who truly know, value, and care for them.

Why are networks so powerful?

✨ They provide natural safety nets.
✨ They foster genuine friendships and social belonging.
✨ They ensure that our loved ones are seen for their unique gifts, not just their needs.

When we build a network, we aren’t just planning for a future; we’re building a life full of connection.

News for Canada Disability Benefit (CDB) recipients! 📣

The federal government is introducing important updates to the CDB, effective on September 1, 2026. 🗓️

One change directly addresses the cost for a medical practitioner to complete the Disability Tax Credit Certificate. Recipients of the CDB will be paid an automatic, one-time lump sum of $150 to help cover medical practitioner fees for the DTC. 🌱

Other updates will affect application timelines for people aged 17, spousal tax waivers, the interest on amounts owed during an appeal process, and a new definition of adjusted income.
