ORGANIZED COLLECTIONS: The Relief is REAL

My client literally cried when I handed her the final external hard drive and the organized final bins.

ESTATE PLANNING: Your Spouse Has NO IDEA

Quick quiz:

Does your spouse know:

❧ Your iCloud password?
❧ What external hard drives have photos on them?
❧ How to access your Google Photos?
❧ Where the backup of your phone is?
❧ Which cloud service you use?
❧ How to log into your computer?

If you answered "probably not" to most of those...

We need to talk.

Because here's a fun fact: Most couples have NO IDEA how to access each other's digital lives.

Example:

Wife has 15 years of family photos in iCloud. Husband has no idea how to access it.
Husband backs everything up to Dropbox. Wife doesn't even know the account exists.

And when one of them passes away?

The surviving spouse is left trying to piece together a digital puzzle with no instructions.

"I know the photos are SOMEWHERE. I just don't know where."

This is easily fixable.

You need a shared & secured document that includes: ✓ Every account that stores photos (iCloud, Google, Dropbox, Amazon, etc.) ✓ Login credentials (or where to find them) ✓ What's stored where ("2010-2015 photos are in Google Photos") ✓ Backup locations (external drives, cloud services) ✓ Instructions for your executor

And then - here's the key - YOU BOTH NEED TO KNOW WHERE THAT DOCUMENT IS.

Because a password list nobody can find is just as useless as no password list.

Don't assume your spouse "just knows" where your photos are.

They don't.
